The former YMCA building served as the towns youth and activity center for several decades before age took its toll. It was then used as a school for several years and most recently as an art gallery of sorts - a live/work studio for a talented professor and longtime artist. Although broken up into various sized spaces the building has an "eclectic" feel to it. It is in good overall condition, has three main levels and there is a basketball gym of approximately 4,000 sq ft that has a separate outside entrance as well as from the main building.

Terrific location at the south end of the extremely popular Astoria Sunday Market, a half block from a hotel-hostel, two historic hotels and a popular brewpub with a brewery under construction. Adjacent is a small antique auto museum and a half block away is the Bankers Suite, a beautifully restored former bank building now used for event space. One block away is the nationally acclaimed Liberty Theater, one of the best examples of the 1920s vaudeville-motion picture palace in the Pacific Northwest. A short walk over to the Columbia River, Astoria Riverwalk, shopping, dining, galleries, museums, apartments and historic homes.
